Greetings from Symbiosis!

Hope this mail finds you in good health and spirits.

At the onset, I request the parents of our Symbiosis School Alumni to share this mail with their wards so that they may be enriched by connecting to their fellow alumnus.

Dr. S. B Mujumdar Sir, the Founder and President of Symbiosis, established this small organization in 1971 for the welfare of foreign students. Little did he realize that it will grow to become one of the largest multidisciplinary University in India with over 36,000 students from all states of India and over 85 countries. Symbiosis has campuses in Pune, Nasik, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida and the most recent campus at Nagpur which is spread over 75 acres. Symbiosis also has a corporate training centre at Muscat, Oman.

Dr. S.B. Mujumdar strongly believes that the future of any country is shaped in the school classroom and so it is imperative that school education is given focused attention to build the future of India.

Each one of you have been a contributor to this success story of Symbiosis. You as Alumni are connected to the schools and institutions that you have graduated from. We are proud of each one of you and your contribution to the Society.  I am sure you too feel proud to be a member of this large Symbiosis.

In 2015, Symbiosis Society created Symbiosis Schools Central Directorate (SSCD) to ensure equity, excellence, consistency and to maintain adherence to key policy issues across all Symbiosis Schools. SSCD is the central office entrusted to make Symbiosis the most sort after schools and is both an academic and administrative body aimed at the development of all the Symbiosis Schools under the umbrella of Symbiosis Society and the leadership team.

We at Symbiosis feel that we need to engage you with our activities and also help you network with Symbiosis alumni from schools other than yours. Towards this, the Symbiosis Centre for Alumni engagement was established and we would like each one of you to be a member of this Centre. This centre is lead by Dr. Neelesh Kumbhojkar, who is the Director of SCAE.

I look forward to meeting you at Alumni meets that we plan to organize.

My Time in SICSR

My time spent in this Institute has helped me in many ways. It has shaped up my career in a way I could only imagine. "Symbiosis", as the same suggests, believes in the philosophy of "Vasudev Kutumbakam" which translates to "World is ONE family" and indeed this philosophy is being practiced in the real sense, in every possible intricacies. Personally, it has helped me a lot with a developed and a brighter global outlook, to understand people from various background, race and culture. The kind of learning environment and faculty that this institute possess is unique and a class apart. Apart from academics, this institute also focuses on sports, cultural activities and social causes. And it is this unique blend that makes this institute stand out from all the rest. 

I belong to the first ever batch of BCA (2002-2005). And indeed, being the part of it as the first batch of BCA, we had our part of pampering and indulgences. For instance, we formed the first rock band of this institute. Our batch was loved and adored by all. We performed at many places within Pune and won accolades and trophies for the institute. 

   

Today I'm a part of a giant IT corporate house in Bangalore, in the area of IT Projects Management. Day in, day out I spent my time in analysis, coordination, meetings and so on. And then, once in a year when I receive this invitation for the alumni meet, I realize and thank SICSR for all the contribution it made to make my professional life worthwhile and meaningful...! SICSR truly rocks. This makes me a proud Symbian, a symby rocker, true to its spirit...!
